Backup Procedure
Below are the basic procedures outlined for backup, restore and restore test. In your final procedure you should name the
- responsible (responsible for the processes)
- accountable (the one that should be accounted to, for example the customer)
- supportive (supports the responsible one with performing the tasks)
- consulted (gets consulted on forehand and can influence the process)
- informed (gets informed afterwards and cannot influence the process)
Also known as the RASCI list.
Regarding to backup you should also mention:
- frequency
- restore frequency
- agreements with tape courier and storage center
- are all steps documented
